From Parent to Boutique Founder: My Story
I began my career in early childhood education, and long before opening Rosebud & Jo, I always felt called to support our tiniest humans in every way I could. Becoming a mom to my two girls deepened that passion even more. Supporting children’s growth, well-being, and development has always been at the center of who I am.
A few years ago, my life changed in ways I never expected. My husband and I lost our home in a fire, and not long after, I suddenly lost my mom. Those seasons reshaped me. They reminded me how short and fragile life can be, and how important it is to build something meaningful.
I wanted to create a life that felt purposeful, to build something for my community, and to show my daughters what it looks like to take a brave path as a woman and business owner. I had no retail experience, but I did have a deep knowledge of products that support children’s well-being and families’ everyday lives. I trusted that, put my heart into it, and opened Rosebud & Jo.
This boutique is more than a store to me. It is a reflection of resilience, intention, and the belief that small choices can make a meaningful difference for our children and our community.
