Maileg pronounced like 'My Lie' (Tricky one to get right)  was founded in 1999 in Denmark by Dorthe & Erik Mailil and is still run by the husband-wife team today.  

Maileg’s philosophy is a well-made, adorable toy that will last. Their toys are always limited releases and become collectibles. They believe children thrive with simpler toys rather than plastic.
